RELIGIOUS OPPOSITION IN THE CONDITIONS OF FULL-SCALE RUSSIAN AGGRESSION

Abstract

The purpose of the article is to study the peculiarities of the influence of the religious factor, in particular, the activities of the Russian Orthodox Church, the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate, on the Ukrainian population in the conditions of Russian aggression. The methodological basis of the research will be general scientific methods (analysis, synthesis, logical, systematic, abstraction, etc.) with the involvement of methods of deduction, induction, problematic chronology, classification and criticism of sources, concrete research, comparative-historical, retrospective, which will make it possible to create a representative, reliable source complex of research. The scientific novelty consists in the study of the peculiarities of the manifestation of the religious factor in the conditions of a full-scale Russian invasion. In particular, it is noted that in the conditions of increasing external threats, in particular, a full-scale Russian invasion, a certain functional transformation of religion is taking place, which is aimed primarily at performing value-forming, community-consolidating and security functions. The article emphasizes that in the conditions of Russian aggression, the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of MP poses a significant threat to the national security of our country, performing destructive functions and trying to destabilize the domestic political situation inside the country. Attention is drawn to the fact that, in order to counteract the destructive manifestations of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted a draft law aimed at eliminating risks to national security from religious organizations that maintain ties with Russia, as it contains norms prohibiting Ukrainian religious organizations to belong to religious organizations that have a location or a management center in a country that carries out armed aggression against Ukraine.
