Abstract

The article examines the features of the development of the domestic cultural industry, in particular the film industry, in the conditions of full-scale Russian aggression. It is indicated that culture is the basis of the national identity of each people, and the destruction of such objects as museums, historical buildings, monuments, and works of art causes significant harm to Ukrainian society. It is noted that supporting culture is one of the key areas of preserving the identity and uniqueness of the national state. It is national culture that today plays an important role in the consolidation and integration of society. It is emphasized that it is especially important to support culture in the conditions of a modern full-scale war, the components of which are information wars and wars of memory, when the Russian Federation is trying to appropriate our history and discredit or destroy our culture, declaring that there is no Ukrainian nation and Ukrainian culture and that the Ukrainian state is a pseudo-state entity. It is indicated that the main trends observed in the domestic cultural sphere in the conditions of war are Ukrainization, de-Russification and decolonization. It is emphasized that in the conditions of war it is necessary to support domestic cultural industries, Ukrainian books, Ukrainian cinema, which would truthfully reflect the struggle of Ukrainians against the Russian aggressor. It is indicated that in the conditions of war the interest of the international community in Ukrainian cinema, in particular in Ukrainian documentary film, which has reached the world level, has become actualized. Attention is focused on the fact that in the conditions of war it is very important to create a single Ukrainian humanitarian space as a system of mutually agreed and mutually complementary sign-symbolic complexes, in which the ethos, worldview, value orientations of the Ukrainian people and other ethnic communities of Ukraine are synthesized.
