Phytonyms and Zoonyms in the Collected Stories «Majdan» of Vira Vovk as a Means of Formation of National Consciousness by Young Generation
Abstract
Every nation strives for national identity and wants to build equal relations with other states. In our view, asignificant role in strengthening the sense of national dignity and awakening will explore played Ukrainian historical chronicles andfolklore, as well as the desire for consolidation. After many figures of Ukrainian culture, which at various times had to travel outside thehomeland, do not lose the spiritual unity of the people and families have made great efforts to preserve the achievements of Ukrainianart, culture and the greatest wealth - language.Nowadays Ukrainian nation defends its primordial right to independence and freedom. Therefore, the main objective ofeducational institutions is to educate patriot conscious citizen who knows the history of the state, customs and traditions of theirpeople. In the educational process to use the achievements of traditional pedagogy, which attaches great importance to enrich thechild's speech and phraseology etnosimvols. After deep "national soul" can penetrate only certain words, symbols has always beenprevalent in the collective unconscious of a nation. Such ethnic markers present in the poems of Wira Wowk devoted to the events ofthe Revolution of Gidnost. The book "Majdan" images of plants and animals serve not only part of the background and silentwitnesses, but also emotional participants in the events that took place on Euromajdan.In order to gain exposure to the recipient and achieve the maximum possible contact with the "national soul" Faith in acollection Wira Wovk " Majdan" is using certain words, symbols (including phytonyms and zoonyms), which are expressed in the worksof Ukrainian folklore. It should be noted that her poetry is dominated by ethno-cultural concepts-up (well-known Ukrainian plant oranimal, horse, swallow, oak, aspen, wheat, poppy and so on). The combination of characters in the poems of Wira Wovk is notarbitrary, but characteristic of folk creativity and outlook reflects the peculiarities of our ancestors.The creative works of the poet observed the indissoluble unity of folk and Christian symbols. This syncretism is intended tostrengthen the impact on the recipient and the most striking describe the turbulent events of Revolution of Gidnost and image of thethorny path of the individual and of a nation to self-determination and self-improvement.We believe that introducing students of secondary schools with the work of Wira Wovk (particularly with a collection of"Majdan") will help restore the single national cultural flow and the formation of a national world view of students as creative heritage ofthe artist is full of numerous etnosimvols, which imprinted the experience of past generations. It is the use of words and symbols (suchphytonyms and zoonyms ) contributes to the consolidation of the nation and the new generations rooted in the soil of spirituality.
