War, Habitus and the Role of Scientists in Social Sciences and Humanities for Consolidation of Ukrainianess
Abstract
To overcome the post-colonial syndrome in social sciences, this is an essay to actualize the concept of habitus by P.Bourdier concerning processes that take place in Ukraine at the present stage of its development. Using approaches of social history, microhistory and new historical science, on real-life examples, demonstrated are manifestations of peculiarity of some sorts of habitus. Proceeding from the daily level, the analysis is forwarded to the national and civilizational levels. In historical retrospect and with some prognostic approach exposed is the essence of the hybrid war conducted by Russia against our country for still another year. Highlighted is the role of habitus in what Moscovia had and had not managed in Ukraine and in the world. Emphasized is the importance of resistance in the informational and psychological war, where scholars of various social sciences and humanities must strengthen their role. Their role also has much importance in consolidating Ukrainian people both now and in the future when the issue of reintegrating the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine arises.
