Abstract

In the presented review of the monographic study by the team of authors, who devoted their thoughts to the interpretation of the phenomenon of Ukraine's geopolitical subjectivity in the context of global challenges, the main aspects of the research programme introduced by the authors are considered. In particular, the conceptual and methodological approaches proposed by Iryna Grabovska and Serhii Hrabovskyi are interpreted in detail. The position of scholars who believe that an evidence-based methodological basis of research and adequately applied methodology are the basis for the success of any scientific research is reasonable. It is also important that scholars have proposed a study of the philosophical and ideological basis of subjectivation: from the civilisational to the anthropological component of this process. This made it possible to create a holistic picture of the unfolding process of the formation of Ukraine's geopolitical subjectivity from its origins to the present day. The researchers who studied the topic proposed in the monograph have demonstrated the ability to solve a complex scientific problem and outline the prospects for its further development in terms of clarifying the challenges and prospects for the further formation of Ukraine's geopolitical subjectivity, the existence of the state as an active actor in the space of world geopolitics. The authors have developed a theory on the transformation of Ukraine's latent subjectivity into an actual one. They also thoroughly analyse the external and internal factors that prevent modern Ukraine from becoming a strong geopolitical player.
