Abstract

The article conducts a systematic analysis of the ethnocultural potential of Ukrainian embroidered shirt in refuting Russian myths and fakes. The essence of the concepts of “Ukrainian ethnocultural potential,” “Ukrainian embroidered shirt,” “Russian-Ukrainian war,” “refutation of Russian myths and fakes”, “educational process” is revealed. It has been established that the modern Russian-Ukrainian war, which began in 2014 and continues to this day, is not an ordinary military conflict but an existential war of identities - Ukrainian European-democratic national identity with Russian Eurasian-authoritarian imperial identity. It was revealed that to eliminate the Ukrainian state, the occupiers use various factors, including actualizing Russian myths, fakes, and falsifying the history of Ukraine in order to destroy the historical memory of Ukrainians. It was found that in order to counteract the Russian information invasion, it is necessary to comprehensively strengthen and spread Ukrainian national identity in society as a set of worldview ideas, views, concepts, and ideas regarding the fundamental interests of the Ukrainian nation and to promote Ukrainian embroidered shirt in Ukraine and the world as a symbol of resistance to Russian aggression. It was found that during the educational process there is a need to familiarize students with the history, symbolism and regional features of the Ukrainian embroidered shirt, to talk about its development from traditional peasant clothing to the ethnocultural code of Ukraine, Ukrainians and world Ukrainianism; and to talk about it as a symbol of the affirmation of Ukrainianness in the world. It has been proven that the Ukrainian embroidered shirt combines both centuries-old folk traditions and customs of Ukrainians and modern energy and symbolism of the unity of the Ukrainian people around the world and consolidates the Ukrainian political nation in the name of victory over the Russian invaders. It is proposed to introduce an optional course, “Ukrainian embroidered shirt – the ethnocultural code of Ukraine and Ukrainians” into the educational process.
