Input by Mikhailo Verkhackiy of of Les Kurbas’ Traditions into Ukrainian School of Theatrical and CRT Arts

Abstract

One of the important facilities of development of the Ukrainian state and consolidation of the Ukrainian people are maintenance and continuation of traditions of the ancestors.

In this article the specificity of introduction of Les Kurbas traditions in Ukrainian school of the theatrical and CRT arts by the prominent Ukrainian stage-director, specialist in drama study, patriarch of Ukrainian theatrical pedagogics, laboratory stage-director-assistant, secretary of stage-director staff of «Berezil», Professor Mikhailo P. Verkhackiy is investigated.

Mikhailo  P.  Verkhackiy,  as  his  students  remembered,  communicated  in  the  way  of  life  and  laid  out  in  the  institute exceptionally Ukrainian, that was for them a good case study and stimulus the mother tongue.

One of main principles of school of theatrical direction and direction of the CRT arts was devotion to traditions of Ukrainian direction, respect and love to the teachers of their teachers – Les Kurbas and his student Mikhailo Verkhackiy.

Among the students of Mikhailo P. Verkhackiy should be named Victor Kisin, Vadim Chubasov, Vasil Viter, Mikola Merzlikin, Volodimir Gоrpenko and many leading Ukrainian artists that in the work and artistic-teacher's activity continued traditions of Les Kurbas.
